Learning and Practicing New Skills

A sweet friend of ours is holding sewing classes in her home this summer. My daughters are participating in these classes and are thoroughly enjoying the learning, the fellowship, and the projects. They've learned to sew by hand, hem, cut out fabric using a simple pattern, pin right sides together, use a sewing machine, sew curves, and line a bag. For several hours this morning, the ladies made "hobo" bags.  My girls are thrilled with their bags! On the way home my daughters were planning all the different bags they want to make. I am so grateful for all the ladies in this group, and especially for the special friend who opens her home for these meetings.
